Championship Breeds

Looking for a pedigreed kitten or cat from a recognized breed? Championship breeds are TICA’s fully recognized cat breeds: established, well-documented breeds with breed standards, active breeding programs, and breeders registered with TICA.

When buying from a TICA-registered breeder or cattery, you’ll work with someone who meets our standards for responsible breeding. Browse the listings below to find a cattery for the breed you’re looking for, and reach out directly to learn about available kittens.

Non-Championship Breeds

Our non-championship breeds, or referred to as Household Pets, consist of mixed-breed and non-pedigreed cats of all kinds. TICA-registered breeders and catteries listing Household Pets are a great place to find a loving, one-of-a-kind companion without the pedigree price tag.

Advanced New Breeds

The second level of the Championship Advancement Class Program. These breeds are eligible to be shown in TICA sanctioned shows but do not earn titles or points towards Annual Awards and must follow specific rules to be eligible for championship status.

Preliminary New Breeds

The beginning level of the Championship Advancement Class Program. These breeds are eligible to be shown in TICA sanctioned shows but do not earn titles or points towards Annual Awards and must follow specific rules to be eligible for the next step in achieving championship status.
