REQUIRED "Waiver of Liability" FORM

The Standing Rules state:

903.4.1.5 A conditional license is granted for the use of the TICA logo on personal and cattery web sites or pages or any personal cattery stationery or promotional material, provided that the owner of any such web site or page or cattery has fully completed and provided to the TICA Executive Office a completed waiver of liability form and places the following on the web site or page or promotional material:

903.4.1.5.1 “This cattery has not been inspected by and is not endorsed by The International Cat Association, Inc.”

903.4.1.5.2 This conditional license may be revoked or suspended by the Board of Directors at any time. The required form follows this section.

License for the Personal Use of the TICA Logo:

If you choose to use the trademark of The International Cat Association, Inc. (TICA) in connection with an internet web site or page, you acknowledge that TICA has not, and does not endorse any product or service that you provide, specifically including, but not limited to, any representation regarding your cattery or any kitten or cat that you may sell, lease or otherwise transfer, any opinion that you hold, or any statement that you make, and you agree fully to indemnify and defend TICA, its officers, directors, and agents from and against all claims, demands, causes or action or proceedings of any nature whatsoever, in whatever forum or venue any such matters may be brought, judicial or otherwise, arising or allegedly arising in any way from your use of the TICA logo and/or trademark. You agree that your obligation to defend includes, without limitation, paying for all expenses associated with any such defense, including attorneys’ fees and costs, and includes expenses incurred that are in any way related to such proceedings even if incurred prior to the commencement of formal proceedings. If you fail adequately to provide any such defense, TICA may, at its option do so for you, and you agree to promptly reimburse TICA for expenses so incurred.

If that happens just RIGHT-CLICK for save as (CONTROL-CLICK on Apple to get save as). Below is a description of which file types to use when.

JPG FILE – JPG (or JPEG) files are generally lower resolution and works great for websites and applications on a screen (TV, COMPUTER, ETC.). This file will have a white background as JPG files do not allow for transparency. Can also work at smaller sizes for Microsoft Word documents or Powerpoint.
PNG FILE – PNG are also generally lower resolution and work great for websites and applications on a screen (TV, COMPUTER, ETC.). This file will have NO background as PNG files do allow for transparency. Choose this version if you want to put on a background color where you wouldn’t want the white box around it. Can also work at smaller sizes for Microsoft Word documents or Powerpoint.
EPS File – EPS files stand for Encapsulated Post Script. This is a high resolution VECTOR file. Vector files can be enlarged or reduced to any size without losing quality. This the format you will want to send if using the logo for something printed like cards, flyers or signs. This format needs special software to open so you may not be able to view it so you would just download and email to your printer, sign maker, etc. and they will know what to do with it.
